The Future Farmers Network is a national network with 680 members and growing.
Vision
“Our vision is for a rural sector that has a reputation for providing exciting and rewarding career paths for young people who are both highly skilled and motivated”.
Mission
“To prepare young people in rural industry for the challenges they face as they pursue a career in the rural sector. To do this we will work with others to encourage and provide opportunities for young people to participate in personal and professional skills development”.
Objectives
The objectives of the Future Farmers Network are to:
- Coordinate a national network of people who support a continual, progressive youth involvement in the rural sector;
- Provide a catalyst for action and commitment from those in a position to encourage and support young people in the rural sector;
- Develop programs and initiatives that contribute to a rural generation that is more informed, educated and proactive;
- Provide a forum for members to communicate with their peers in a professional and personal sense;
- Promote a vibrant and exciting future for young people in rural sector.
